FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

HOW SHOULD I PREPARE FOR MY FIRST TREATMENT?

The massage itself takes place on a large, cushioned mat on the floor therefore you will need a space clear from any obstruction that is about 2.5m x 3m.
During Yoga Massage you are fully clothed and there can be a lot of stretches performed therefore it is recommend to wear clean clothing that has quite a bit stretch and is also going to keep you warm (i.e yoga/jogging pants & a long sleeved top).
Acupressure is also applied to the feet so please ensure that your feet (or socks) are clean from dirt and debris.

WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT FROM MY FIRST SESSION?

Before your appointment you will have received an email confirming the time and date of your massage along with a Client Health Form which is to be completed at least 2 hours before your massage. At the beginning of your first session there is time set aside to go through your completed form and to perform a short mobility test to check the range of movement in your limbs. This is to help determine the best sequence of acupressure and positions specifically for you.
The session begins with a short mediation and breathing exercise to calm the nervous system and bring the mind and body into a relaxed and receptive state. From there you will be asked to get into our starting position either lying on the front, back or sitting and then we begin with the massage.
